History
Created in 2003 as a blog hosting service by Anthony Casalena, he was the sole employee of his company until 2006 when it reached $1M in revenue. The company had 30 employees in 2010, then 550 in 2015. Squarespace became a publicly traded company in 2021. In May of 2024, squarespace was acquired by a british equity firm for $6.9 Billion dollars.

No requirements are necessary other than a web browser and internet connection, as Squarespace is proprietary.
