The NWTC Digital Arts showcase is an event that allows all students of NWTC to showcase their creativity and display all of their various projects and works. This showcase caters to 4 specific programs:
Digital Media
Digital media professionals employ production skills and acquired technical knowledge to create audio, video and motion graphics content for multiple distribution channels. Graduates of the Digital Media Technology degree have the skill set for a variety of careers including audio/video production assistant, digital media specialist, freelance media producer, radio and podcast producer and motion graphic designer.
Web Design
Web developers design, implement, and maintain web applications and websites. The Web Development program provides students with the skills necessary to become a full stack developer. Learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to design the user interface (UI) while implementing design concepts to enhance the user experience (UX). Then combine front-end skills with back-end technologies including database design and development, programming with ASP.NET, PHP, and WordPress. Web development is an exciting combination of front-end design along with back-end programming, a perfect combination for students who like to design and code.
Design & Print
Creative design professionals combine artistic abilities with technical knowledge to create designs used in print and digital content. During studies, they create, maintain and present a professional portfolio showcasing their professional work. As a graduate of the Design and Graphic Technology program, they are positioned for a variety of careers including graphic designer, marketing specialist, digital print technician, graphic artist, pre-press technician, social media manager and content creator.
Photography
A photography program graduate will be prepared for a variety of photography careers. They will be skilled in the latest lighting, software, output, and digital photography technologies necessary to succeed in this creative profession. Our program will provide them with the branding and business skills necessary to succeed in the field of photography. Career choices include portrait and wedding photographer, real estate photographer, commercial photographer, photojournalist, staff photographer, sport and event photographer.
