Created by Egor Kloos, this is a specific example on the CSS Zen Garden website. Gemination exists to prove the use of progressive enhancement, not just with multiple CSS pages, but also between IE7 and IE6 users. Those using IE7 will see a fairly minimalist page where the entirety of the content is on the top half of the page, and shows a picture of a angel statue and a large garden in the background. The text in the center is contained within a small area around the top. Those using IE6 will instead see a page that goes the whole vertical length, contains multiple pictures, and has text that extends across the page. Both sites are well designed and fairly easy to access. This site proves why progressive enhancement is necessary. It gives everyone the ability to access the content on the website, regardless of the computer or browser available to the user of the website. It more or less makes things easy for everyone in terms of usability of the website.
